Westbourne Grammar School is seeking an organised, hands-on Events Manager to plan, coordinate and deliver high-quality school events that strengthen community engagement, reflect the School’s values and create positive experiences for students, families, staff, alumni and guests.
Working closely with the Director of Community Engagement and Advancement, this role supports the delivery of the School’s events program by managing logistics, systems, suppliers and communications across the full lifecycle of events. The focus of the role is strong execution, clear coordination and consistent, professional event delivery.
Events are delivered both on campus and at external venues and the role requires flexibility to work outside standard hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, to support key school events.
About the role
The Events Manager is responsible for the operational planning and delivery of a broad range of school events across the academic year, including:
? Speech Nights and Graduation ceremonies
? Open Days, enrolment and community engagement events
? Performances, productions and whole-school celebrations
? Parent and alumni events
About you
? Experience in planning and delivering events, ideally within education, community, not-for-profit or hospitality environments
? Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple events and priorities
? Sound financial administration skills, including managing budgets and supplier processes
? Clear written and verbal communication skills
? Confidence working with event booking systems and Microsoft Office; CMS experience is desirable
? Willingness to work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends
Key responsibilities include:
? Coordinating the end-to-end delivery of school events, from planning to on-the-day execution
? Managing event logistics including venues, suppliers, catering and schedules
? Acting as the on-site event lead, applying sound judgement to ensure smooth delivery
? Managing event budgets, registrations, ticketing and related administration
? Supporting event communications in collaboration with the Marketing team
? Liaising with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure clear expectations and delivery
